Summary
🎓
Top SchoolErik Ostien is a Senior DevOps Engineer with five years of hands-on experience advancing cloud-native infrastructure and developer workflows at Ping Identity. A UC Berkeley computer science alumnus with a strong foundation in algorithms, systems, and languages from Python and Java to RISC-V and C, he bridges low-level understanding with practical backend and web development skills. His progression from software engineering intern to senior DevOps reflects deep familiarity with Spring, React/Redux, and production-scale deployment patterns. Based in Denver, he combines a hardware-aware perspective—having built a 2-stage pipelined CPU in school—with day-to-day expertise in observability, automation, and team collaboration. Pragmatic and curious, he consistently turns academic projects and internship learnings into reliable, scalable solutions in large engineering organizations.
