Top SchoolEvan Johnson is a senior full-stack software engineer with 15+ years building scalable web applications, enterprise eCommerce platforms, and data-driven SaaS systems from a remote-first base in Salt Lake City. A two-time startup co-founder, he blends hands-on development across Python, Node.js, PHP, React and AWS/GCP with pragmatic architecture and TDD to deliver reliable production systems. In recent years he pivoted to climate-focused work—designing fleet electrification recommendation software and now shipping tools for residential rooftop solar that translate complex data into actionable total-cost and emissions insights. He’s comfortable across the stack—from serverless ETL and microservices to headless CMS and single-page apps—and has led small cross-functional teams while mentoring junior engineers. Colleagues value his ability to pair product-focused engineering with thoughtful data-first design and operationalized cloud deployments.
