Senior🎓
Top SchoolEvan Moss is a seasoned engineering leader and serial founder with 11 years building high-performance mapping, 3D graphics, and distributed systems from research prototypes to commercial products in the Bay Area. As Co-Founder and CTO of Hivemapper and now Bee Maps, he combines deep technical expertise in remote sensing, WebGL/graphics pipelines, and ML-driven data tooling with hands-on systems architecture and team building. His career includes scaling real-time collaborative systems, inventing programmable geospatial tooling at Scale AI, and shipping near real-time vehicle-mounted 3D mapping and decentralized map APIs. Evan is as comfortable rebuilding core rendering subsystems and optimizing ops through automation as he is designing data-driven product roadmaps and interview funnels—he even implemented playful ML style-transfer inside a WebGL render loop. Based in San Francisco, he brings a pragmatic research mindset to hard problems where sensing, edge compute, and decentralization meet.
