Top SchoolEvgeny Budilovsky is a senior software engineer with 15+ years specializing in Linux and low-level systems, with deep expertise in storage, networking and virtualization. He has driven kernel and driver development across startups and hyperscale environments—from building NVMe-over-RDMA targets and SmartNIC NVMe stacks to contributing to AWS EBS Block Express and Datorios’ core streaming infrastructure. Comfortable in C/C++, Go, Python and assembly, he pairs hands-on kernel work with automation and test infrastructure design, often using KVM/QEMU, DPDK and Mellanox OFED for realistic validation. His background includes R&D and leadership roles in military intelligence and multiple acquisitions, reflecting a track record of delivering production-grade, high-performance I/O and virtualization systems. Colleagues value his ability to quickly master new platforms and his curiosity for advanced languages like Rust and Haskell, which inform safer and more expressive low-level designs.
