Fabio Sikansi
London, England, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorFabio Sikansi is a Principal Engineer based in London with nine years of experience leading teams and shipping data-driven products in both startup and enterprise environments. He progressed from freelance web developer and research roles to CTO/lead developer at Neural Alpha, where he scaled the engineering organisation, led two major long-term projects into production, and helped secure awards and a UK innovation grant. At the Financial Times he advanced from Senior Software Engineer to Principal Engineer on FT Professional, driving architecture and delivery for commercial products. He combines hands-on technical ownership—CI/CD, infrastructure as code, code review culture—with client-facing product delivery and mentoring. Comfortable moving projects from prototype to production, he brings a pragmatic mix of research-trained rigor (MSc, USP) and seed-stage entrepreneurial experience. A detail not always obvious: he was the company’s first hire at Neural Alpha and played a central role in shaping its tech strategy and culture as it scaled beyond a dozen engineers.
