Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolFabrizio Salmi is a Senior System Engineer and infrastructure architect with 13 years of experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems across finance, media, and telecoms. He has led architecture and engineering efforts at Borsa Italiana (London Stock Exchange Group) and now drives system engineering at MainStreaming, focusing on autonomy and operational reliability. His background spans hands-on network and NOC operations through to senior solution architecture, giving him rare end-to-end visibility from core networking to cloud-native infrastructure. Outside traditional engineering roles he grew a highly successful YouTube presence using automation, FFMPEG and SEO to generate tens of millions of views, illustrating a knack for creative technical problem solving and automation. Based in Genoa, Italy, he combines practical operations experience with strategic resilience planning, often bridging gaps between engineering teams and business continuity needs. He describes himself plainly as “not a coder,” yet consistently delivers infrastructure-first solutions that enable scalable services.
