Top SchoolFarshad Hemmati is a Principal Software Engineer based in Oakland with a strong focus on the .NET and Angular stack and over two decades of hands-on experience spanning startups and enterprise environments. He has led teams and engineered scalable systems—designing multi-terabyte databases, converting legacy platforms to modern C# microservices, and building high-throughput backends and responsive Angular front ends. At UCSF he scaled OCR pipelines into resilient .NET Core services, managed secure AWS/Heroku infrastructure for sensitive health data, and grew from backend engineer to lead across three teams. Farshad combines product-minded UI/UX sensibilities with deep backend architecture skills, routinely automating operational tasks and driving performance under tight deadlines. Notably, he has built data systems that handled billions of points and sub-30ms request times for millions of users, demonstrating a rare blend of performance engineering and user-focused design.
