Federico Reuben is a Senior Lecturer in Music Technology and practicing composer, sound artist and live-electronic performer with 17 years of professional experience across academia and the arts. Based at the University of York and leading independent work as Squib-box, he composes and presents electroacoustic, mixed-media and cross-arts projects that have been performed and broadcast internationally. His research and teaching bridge composition, music computing, improvisation and critical studies of digital and sound culture, with hands-on experience in live electronics, installation, robotics and multimedia collaboration. Trained with advanced studies at Brunel, the Instituut voor Sonologie and the Koninklijk Conservatorium, he blends rigorous doctoral research with adventurous practice-led experimentation. An educator and practitioner equally at home in concert halls, festivals and studios, he is particularly interested in the aesthetic and political dimensions of contemporary sound practice.
