Summary
👤
SeniorFelipe Falcão is a senior software engineer with 16 years of experience, blending industry-grade backend development with strong academic research in computer science (PhD candidate at Universidade Federal de Campina Grande). He has deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and Java from long tenure at Buzzmonitor and now drives engineering work at Lumenalta, while also bringing product perspective from a Product Owner stint. His research and data-architecture background inform pragmatic designs for large-scale systems, including big-data work for a mobile social network and visiting research at the Music Technology Group. Early and repeated contributions to Freeseer through Google Summer of Code highlight a long-standing commitment to open-source tooling and automation. Based in Paraíba, Brazil, he pairs rigorous academic credentials with a proven track record of shipping production services and mentoring cross-functional teams. A less obvious strength is his cross-disciplinary focus on music and computing, which fuels creative approaches to signal and data problems.
