Top SchoolFelipe Montino is a pragmatic tech lead with a decade of hands-on experience building high-availability web services, currently leading a payments-focused engineering team at Lets Get Checked from Porto, Portugal. He combines deep C#/.NET expertise with distributed systems patterns—Kafka, Redis, Cassandra—and cloud deployments on AWS and Azure to deliver secure, performant financial-grade services. Previously at Farfetch and Itaú he helped break monoliths into geo-distributed microservices, drove payment platform design, and owned cross-functional integrations and performance testing. Felipe pairs solid engineering practices (DDD, SOLID, DRY) with people leadership—creating team culture, shaping hiring processes, and managing backlogs and capacity. He’s equally comfortable as an instructor and interviewer, which reflects a practical focus on knowledge sharing and team enablement.
