Top SchoolFelix Gao is a Principal Machine Learning Engineering leader based in Cupertino with 13 years of experience building large-scale data, ML and AI systems for enterprise products. At Intuit he leads multi-team initiatives that deliver generative AI, document intelligence, risk management, and real-time cashflow analytics to millions of users while owning platform architecture, cloud infrastructure and deployment. His background spans high-scale data engineering and distributed systems—from Cassandra, Spark and Kafka to AWS and containerized production environments—rooted in earlier roles designing recommendation engines and ETL pipelines. Known for turning research-grade models into reliable production services, he pairs technical depth with people leadership, mentoring engineers and aligning stakeholders across organizations. An uncommon thread in his career is repeated success open-sourcing and architecting cross-team platforms (e.g., AB testing and anti-entropy services) that simplify complex operational problems.
