Top SchoolFernando Seguim is a Brazilian founder and engineering leader with nine years of experience building high-scale financial infrastructure and products across core banking, ledger, payments and reconciliation. As CEO of Guardia he’s launching Brazil’s first AI-driven FinOps reconciliation platform to turn transactional data into an autonomous intelligence layer for finance teams. Previously he led engineering and product at Bankly—designing OAuth/FAPI authentication, event-driven architectures and systems that supported millions of accounts, thousands of microservices and high-throughput payment rails. He combines hands-on implementation (cloud-native, CQRS, event buses, DynamoDB/Kafka ecosystems) with mentoring and ecosystem-building as a columnist and founder of mentorship initiatives. Notably, his track record spans from early-stage food-tech ventures to leading BaaS productization that handled large TPV and automated judicial integrations, reflecting both entrepreneurial grit and operational rigor. Based in São Paulo, he pairs technical depth with a focus on turning complex financial workflows into auditable, scalable business outcomes.
