Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolFilip Haftek is a DevOps engineer with 11 years of experience building scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and developer tooling, currently helping Sourcegraph scale globally from his base in Krakow. He blends deep hands-on skills in Kubernetes, Terraform, serverless architectures and CI/CD with a background in core development (Go, Ruby, Java and Python), enabling him to bridge platform engineering and application-level concerns. His consultancy work spans GCP and AWS migrations, search optimization, and evaluation of emerging tech like Istio and blockchain, while previous roles involved shipping machine learning pipelines and cross-application components. Filip’s engineering approach favors automation, reliability and pragmatic design—he’s shipped infrastructure as code and reusable Terraform modules and has a history of improving throttling, monitoring and deployment systems in high-traffic environments. Trained as an M.Sc. in Automatics and Robotics at AGH University, he pairs formal systems thinking with a curious, "stay hungry, stay foolish" mindset that surfaces in continuous evaluation of new tools and patterns.
