Top SchoolFilip Hnízdo is a director and full‑stack web developer with 11 years of experience building interactive maps, data visualisations, apps, games and databases for conservation, arts and heritage organisations through his agency Octophin Digital. A former newspaper journalist and trained linguist, he combines storytelling and user-centred design with pragmatic JavaScript and backend engineering to deliver projects that have been featured by outlets such as the BBC and Ars Technica. He cut his teeth creating CMS and real‑time web systems (including an open-source Node.js framework) and has a track record of shipping self-led products from e-commerce to bespoke web apps. Based in London, he also pursues digital art and music, bringing a multidisciplinary creative lens to technical problems. Colleagues value his blend of editorial rigor, technical curiosity, and consistent hands‑on leadership in small teams.
