Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolFrancisco Thiesen is a software engineer with 11 years of experience now working on AI compilers at Microsoft in Seattle. He blends strong algorithmic foundations (algorithms, data structures, graphs, optimization) and C++ expertise with practical systems work across compilers, query transpilation, and scalable distributed systems. At Microsoft he led connector and query-parsing work for Viva Insights that improved report creation efficiency by 75% and introduced privacy-preserving query checks and a differential-privacy mechanism. His background includes building high-scale decentralized receipt systems and voice assistant work at Google, reflecting a taste for low-level performance engineering and real-world impact. Known for solving constraints imposed by platforms (e.g., DAX limitations) and for pragmatic optimization, he pairs academic rigor from PUC-Rio with production-driven delivery.
