Franco Sirena
Senior Software Engineer at Datadog
Netherlands
Summary
🤩
Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolFranco Sirena is a senior software engineer based in the Netherlands with nearly a decade of professional experience and over 10 years coding overall, specializing in frontend engineering and React. He blends hands-on development, team leadership, and DevOps curiosity—driving CI/CD and Kubernetes improvements that cut deployments and test times by large margins. At BitSight he led core frontend efforts, halved bundle sizes and page load times via lazy loading and refactors, and introduced testing culture and sharding to dramatically speed feedback. Now at Datadog he continues to elevate observability and reliability practices while staying a Git "surgeon" and BDD/TDD advocate. Pragmatic and curious, he alternates between breaking things to learn and fixing them to scale, and often bridges Europe–US teams to keep distributed projects aligned.
