Top SchoolFritz Schneider is a seasoned software engineer with nine years of focused experience building infrastructure, distributed systems, and early-stage products from the ground up. He led the first Filecoin node implementation at Protocol Labs and contributed core blockchain and mining functionality to the widely used Filecoin Venus project, demonstrating deep systems and consensus-level expertise. Fritz has a strong track record at both large-scale operations—designing and running global Search infrastructure at Google—and startups, co-founding Rocicorp to build realtime multiplayer devtools like Reflect and Replicache. Comfortable across systems programming, web stacks, security, and operations, he also specializes in rehabilitating legacy codebases and creating healthy, high-performing teams. Based in Austin and remote since 2017, he blends hands-on engineering with product and architectural leadership, making him equally effective as a builder and technical manager.
