Gaël De Chalendar is a research scientist at CEA LIST with over two decades of experience in natural language processing, automatic summarization, and semantic analysis. He is a principal contributor to LIMA (LIbre Multilingual Analyzer) and helped design and implement its parser and architecture, while also leading the multimedia multilingual search engine AMOSE. Holder of a PhD from Université Paris Sud (2001), he has supervised multiple PhD students, managed national and European projects, and actively bridges lab research with industrial collaborations. An experienced open-source developer and long-time KDE contributor (author of KsirK and kgraphviewer), he blends academic rigor with hands-on engineering and project leadership.
