Garth Huber is an accomplished nuclear physicist and research leader with a PhD and over three decades of experimental experience probing the quark-gluon structure of matter. As Professor of Physics at the University of Regina and Executive Director of the Canadian Institute of Nuclear Physics since 2013, he bridges academic research, national coordination, and large-scale facility engagement. He has led major experiments at Jefferson Lab and contributed to programs at Mainz, TRIUMF, Tokyo, and Indiana University, while helping to shape the field through leadership roles in the Canadian Association of Physicists and the APS topical group. Garth is now helping to lay the foundations for hadron physics at the Electron-Ion Collider, combining deep technical expertise with strategic program building. An aspect not immediately obvious from titles: he remains an active facility user and hands-on experimentalist, maintaining long-term, collaborative ties with international accelerators.
