Gaspard Baye is a PhD-trained security AI scientist and entrepreneurial CTO with over a decade of experience building AI-driven defense and offense capabilities for cybersecurity. As co-founder and CTO of Valix AI he architects adaptive threat-response systems and real-time AI agents that inspect traffic, analyze behavior, and autonomously mitigate novel attacks across cloud, edge, and hybrid environments. His work blends rigorous research—publishing zero-day detection methods and leading Security AI at OpenMined—with hands-on infrastructure and DevOps skills, including security-focused contributions to the well-known PySyft project (upgrading cryptography and automating VPN/firewall deployments). He has industrial experience prototyping LLM-based defensive systems at Qualcomm and has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to move models from research into production with secure, auditable deployments. A passionate mentor and community leader, Gaspard has trained thousands in cybersecurity, guided students into industry roles, and reviewed global AppSec programs for OWASP. He’s equally comfortable designing low-level Snort rules and cloud automation as he is inventing novel AI threat simulations—an unusual combination that shortens the path from research to resilient security products.
