Gimena Del Rio Riande is a scholar-practitioner in digital humanities with over a decade of experience leading philological and digital text-editing initiatives from Argentina. As Coordinadora of HD Lab and an Investigadora Independiente at CONICET, she directs Argentina’s first Diplomatura in Humanidades Digitales and steers multidisciplinary projects on open research and TEI-based editions. A Romancist with a doctorate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (premio extraordinario), she combines rigorous textual scholarship with hands-on development of digital editorial infrastructures and international collaborations. Active in governance and outreach, she serves on the TEI Board, presides the Asociación Argentina de Humanidades Digitales, and is a DOAJ Ambassador, reflecting a commitment to open access and community standards.
