Hachi Manzur is an assistant professor and neurologist with an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, combining 12 years of clinical and research experience across Chile and the US. Trained at Universidad Católica de Chile and as a postdoctoral fellow at the NIH, he has led mechanistic studies on learning-related prediction-error signals and on the neural basis of temporal synchrony underlying sensory binding. He practices neurorehabilitation and acute neurology while directing technology strategy as CTO of Waves Tech Chile, bridging clinical insight with product and research development. His long-term focus is designing evidence-based neurorehabilitation programs to enhance recovery after acquired brain injury, informed by hands-on patient care and translational neuroscience. Notably, his work demonstrates how neural prediction signals temporally backpropagate to optimal predictors—an idea he applies when developing interventions that translate lab findings into clinical rehabilitation.
