Henry Ling is a Principal Scientist at Novartis NIBR in San Diego with over a decade of hands-on experience translating pharmacology research into in vivo models and therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular, renal and metabolic diseases. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and a strong publication record, and has led discovery pharmacology, PD/efficacy, PK/PD and safety studies across industry and academia. His rare combination of molecular assay development, echocardiographic/electrophysiological expertise and chronic animal model generation enables end-to-end target validation from biomarker discovery to CRO-managed studies. Henry has repeatedly served as a subject-matter expert and lab lead, steering cross-functional teams on heart failure, arrhythmia, ischemia/reperfusion injury and NAFLD/NASH programs. Colleagues rely on his ability to bridge mechanistic signaling insights (CaMKII, NF-κB, Gq/β-AR pathways) with practical translational study design that de-risks lead selection.
