Iain Lobb is a BAFTA-winning Senior Developer with 16 years specialising in Unity game development, shipping 2D, 2.5D and 3D titles for mobile and PC and working with clients such as EA, Endemol and Preloaded. He has run a successful freelance studio since 2009 and recently joined StoryToys after senior roles at Outplay and Marmalade Game Studio where he prototyped and shipped live features for high-profile games. Iain combines deep Unity expertise (including native 2D tools and Spine) with strong game design instincts—he teaches design theory in practice and has led university courses and an online MA in Indie Game Development. He also brings UI/UX, animation and graphics skills from decades of Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects work and a background leading Flash teams, which helps him bridge art and engineering. Notably, he created the popular multiplayer title Zwok and has extensive experience integrating socket servers and cloud services for live multi-user games. Based in Truro, he pairs a practitioner’s attention to polish with a track record of turning playful prototypes into shipped, commercially successful experiences.
