Senior🎓
Top SchoolIlmar Kerm is a Senior Database Administrator with over 20 years of hands-on experience and a decade of focused enterprise DBA work, currently based in Stockholm. He designs and automates resilient database infrastructure across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and NoSQL platforms, with deep expertise in RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Patroni and immutable backup strategies. Comfortable from bare-metal RAC deployments to cloud-native AWS automation using Terraform, Ansible and HashiCorp Vault, he also leads complex migrations and cross-platform replication (including Debezium). A long-time Oracle community speaker and former Oracle ACE program member, he combines operational rigor from PCI-compliant environments with developer-facing tooling like ORDS/APEX. Less obvious: he blends low-level system administration experience (hardware, networking, virtualization) with automation-first practices, making him equally effective troubleshooting infrastructure as he is architecting cloud DB platforms.
