Senior🎓
Top SchoolIlya Zhavoronkov is a product-driven Senior Software Engineer based in Lisbon with roughly a decade of hands-on experience building robust back-end systems in Rust, Scala, Go, Java, and Python. He specializes in distributed systems and blockchain protocols—having worked as a core protocol engineer on a custom L1 and now optimizing decentralized finance trades to protect users from MEV—while also delivering mission-critical services in fintech, telecom and gambling. Comfortable across startups and multinational environments, he combines strong ownership and entrepreneurial thinking with practical leadership and autonomy. Unusually, his background spans both low-level protocol design and business-facing KYC/payment services, giving him a rare ability to translate deep technical constraints into product-ready solutions.
