Top SchoolJacek Modrakowski is a Senior Scala Developer with 12 years of software engineering experience, specializing in backend systems and Functional Programming. He designs and ships scalable, real-time services using Scala 2/3, Cats, FS2, ZIO, Doobie and integrates them with Kubernetes and AWS for fintech, healthcare and blockchain clients. At Scalac he built microservices that ingest blockchain data and expose it via WebSockets, REST and GraphQL, even writing Rust libraries to bridge ledger functionality into Scala services. He has a strong operational mindset—owning CI/CD, Kafka-based integrations and Kubernetes deployments to ensure reliable production delivery. Earlier in his career he delivered end-to-end Android apps in Kotlin and Java, bringing a mobile-to-server perspective that informs API and UX-aware backend design. Based in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, he combines hands-on implementation with team leadership and a penchant for pragmatic, type-safe architectures.
