Senior🎓
Top SchoolJack Mahoney is a founder and senior full-stack engineer with over a decade of experience building cloud-native, high-scale systems for startups and enterprises across Europe and New Zealand. He has led engineering teams and founded profitable SaaS products (notably MailSlurp, an email testing API) while consulting for BCG, McKinsey DV, and clients like SoundCloud, GoEuro and Airbus/UP42 on distributed, GPU and IoT projects. Skilled across JVM, Go, Node, Kotlin/Scala, React/Vue, Kubernetes and Terraform, he combines hands-on architecture with DevOps and product-facing responsibilities to ship reliable, testable systems on AWS and GCP. Comfortable moving between backend, frontend and infra, he brings a disciplined engineering style born from building mission-critical APIs, payment systems and large-scale data pipelines. Relocated recently to Wellington, he pairs startup grit with studio and consulting rigor, and often turns exploratory tech research into production-ready tooling.
