Senior🎓
Top SchoolJack Royal is a data engineer with 11 years of experience specializing in cloud-native ELT pipelines, PySpark, BigQuery, Azure Databricks and Looker/Power BI visualisation. He has delivered production data platforms and automation tooling for large clients including Australia Post and government agencies, often turning manual, months-long tasks into efficient, scalable pipelines that unlocked multi-year contracts. Comfortable in consulting and cross-stakeholder roles, he blends hands-on engineering (Terraform, DBT, ADF, GCS/ADLS) with pre-sales proof-of-concept work in GenAI and SQL-driven natural language interfaces. A disciplined, detail-oriented problem solver with dual Computer Science and Data Science degrees from the University of Otago, he also brings intellectual curiosity across public policy and effective altruism—having pledged 10% of his income to high-impact charities.
