Bradenton, Florida, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorJacky Nguyen is a hands-on CTO and full-stack architect with 13 years building everything from bare-metal clusters to reactive frontends and large-scale distributed systems. He specializes in real-time, parallel streaming architectures and machine learning pipelines, working day-to-day in Scala and the SMACK stack (Spark, Mesos, Akka, Cassandra, Kafka) and deploying on DC/OS and Kubernetes. Jacky led development of Ex Machina, a 100k+ LoC React visual designer that empowers data scientists to compose analytics and ML workflows in minutes, and has shipped production React Native iOS apps as well. Earlier in his career he helped shape mobile HTML5 and Ext JS frameworks at Sencha, including the Fastbook project that rivaled native app performance and influenced browser performance work with the Chrome/Blink team. Currently he’s applying distributed computing and ML to ecommerce analytics and financial market automation at a stealth startup, with a fetish for extreme throughput (think billion ACID writes/second). Based in Bradenton, FL, he blends deep systems engineering with product-facing delivery across front-end, back-end and infrastructure layers.
