Top SchoolJacob Dorne is a experienced platform and systems engineer with a decade of hands-on experience across IT support, retail electronics, and platform engineering at Westpac. Trained in electrical engineering and science/technology, he combines practical hardware skills—evident from restoring and making parts for vintage computers—with modern software platform expertise. As a manager and self-employed technologist in Wellington, he blends customer-focused troubleshooting (from Jaycar and Classic Apparel) with systems design and sourcing for bespoke solutions. His background in both tertiary engineering diplomas and a BE(Hons) in Software Engineering gives him a rare cross-disciplinary perspective that bridges electronics, legacy computing, and enterprise platform operations.
