Top SchoolJacob Fan is a Lead Software Engineer based in Chicago with eight years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise web applications for finance and health insurance, specializing in modern front-end stacks (Angular, TypeScript, Redux, RxJS) and robust Java back-end frameworks. He transforms teams and delivery practices by establishing coding standards, CI/CD and Agile workflows, and has driven cost-saving POCs that reduced vendor licensing by over $1M annually. Equally comfortable mentoring developers and rolling up his sleeves to implement scalable architectures, he blends UI/UX sensibility with deep core Java and design-pattern expertise. Known for running internal Angular bootcamps and hackathon wins, he accelerates adoption of new tech while preserving maintainability across multi-tenant banking and hybrid mobile projects. Educated at Stevens Institute of Technology, he pairs academic rigor with a pragmatic, first-principles approach to problem solving.
