Top SchoolJacob Goodwin is a software engineer with eight years of professional experience who transitioned from a deep RF and microwave engineering background into full-stack web and serverless development. Currently at Passport he builds Node.js-based serverless microservices on AWS and React client apps, drawing on prior roles designing antenna and RF systems at Sandia, Northrop Grumman, and Dassault Systèmes. His engineering foundation in numerical methods and hands-on measurement gives him a practical edge for solving complex system integration and performance problems that span hardware and software. Based in Apple Valley, CA, he combines graduate-level EE training from UCLA with modern web stack expertise, preferring pragmatic, testable solutions and rapid iteration. Notably, his career shift from high-frequency R&D to cloud-native development demonstrates both technical breadth and adaptability.
