Top SchoolJacob Guenther is a Senior Compliance and Data Privacy Manager with nine years of progressive IT and compliance leadership at Samaritan Ministries, where he builds and operationalizes governance, risk, and privacy programs that align technology architecture with regulatory and organizational priorities. He progressed from hands-on roles in systems, networking, and security to leading IT operations and now advises senior leadership on strategy, risk prioritization, and cross-functional integration with legal, security, and tech teams. Jacob combines a practitioner’s depth in endpoint and infrastructure security with board-level governance experience from Goodwill Industries, giving him a rare view from implementation to oversight. He also consults for small and mid-sized organizations, applying pragmatic, budget-aware approaches to cloud, security, and data governance. Based in Alaska, he balances technical curiosity with executive skills honed through Cornell and University at Buffalo leadership certificates, making him adept at translating complex technical controls into auditable, business-friendly programs. An early career background in software reporting and freelance security work means he still brings hands-on troubleshooting savvy to strategic initiatives.
