Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJacob Herper is a Lead Software Engineer with 10 years of experience specialising in front-end development using React and TypeScript, currently driving product and engineering outcomes at Holland & Barrett. He has a strong track record building customer-facing platforms—leading the development of a multi-tenant booking and video meeting system that replaced a third-party provider and saved ~£500k annually—and delivering GenAI features that cut contact-centre AHT by 20%. Equally comfortable as a founder and a tech lead, he built a SaaS-style real-estate product from the ground up and has repeatedly led hiring and squad formation to scale engineering teams. An advocate for web performance, accessibility and the Jamstack, Jacob blends pragmatic engineering with design-minded UX sensibility and a penchant for solving everyday problems through code. Based in Coventry, he pairs hands-on implementation of React/Next/Gatsby stacks with system-level thinking across monorepos, GraphQL and modern state management.
