Top SchoolJacob Jove is a Georgetown Law student pivoting from a nine-year technical career to strengthen democratic institutions through public service, with particular focus on AI governance and tech policy. He spent seven years building automated testing systems, co-founding two ventures, and training large language models—work that gave him hands-on insight into how platforms shape society and where privacy rules fall short. As a co-founder of a nonprofit aimed at improving civic dialogue, he has practical experience translating governance ideas into organizational structures and compliant bylaws. His industry roles include automating QA at Indeed and annotating and evaluating LLM training data for a Fortune 10 client, combining product-focused engineering with rigorous ethical review. Jacob’s pivot is driven by a belief that solving meta-problems like polarization and concentration of power requires curiosity, humility, and capacity-building across sectors. He is seeking roles with government offices, nonprofits, and think tanks where his cross-disciplinary technical and policy perspective can inform durable solutions.
