Summary
👤
SeniorJacob Lawrence is a Senior Software Engineer and technical lead based in New South Wales with 10 years of experience building scalable products across Hospitality and Fintech. He specializes in TypeScript, Go and React, and has led cross-functional, multi-national teams to deliver global features, microfrontends and high-reliability APIs. At Lightspeed he drove architecture and people practices—redesigning hiring, incident response and documentation—and shipped mobile and backend systems in React Native and Go. He has a strong track record of modernizing platforms using serverless patterns, data transformation systems and design systems, having uplifted QA and introduced end-to-end testing across microservices. Now at Atlassian, he continues to blend hands-on engineering with team coaching to move complex projects forward. Outside work he’s a self-taught, broadly curious technologist with interests from data science to the arts, which often informs pragmatic, user-focused product decisions.
