Top SchoolJacob Parrish is a founder and longtime front-end web developer with 15 years of experience in graphic design, UX, and Drupal theming who now focuses full-time on Bitcoin advocacy and community building. He founded UpgradeYa, growing it as a custom web shop handling design, Drupal development, e-commerce and operations, and previously ran DRT Media building websites and brands for small businesses. Since 2013 he has led Bitcoin Charlotte—organizing workshops, recurring meetups like Saturday Sats Social, and signature events such as HODLWEEN—to help individuals and businesses adopt Bitcoin payments and pursue financial sovereignty. Comfortable both with hands-on HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP work and running the business side of a shop, he blends product-minded design with operational discipline. Based in Charlotte, NC, he brings an unusual combination of grassroots crypto evangelism, practical web engineering, and long-term entrepreneurial experience.
