Summary
👤
SeniorJacob Penn is a founder and CEO with 11 years of experience building audio software and products, currently leading Minimal Audio from Los Angeles. He combines deep C++/DSP and JUCE expertise with Rails-based product and ops experience—running payroll, shipping frequent commits, and driving design decisions hands-on. Previously a software engineer at Output and an adjunct faculty teaching C++, JUCE, and sound design, he blends professional product delivery with pedagogy. Jacob is unusually prolific and involved across engineering, product, and team growth, and channels that energy into both commercial plugins and teaching at institutions like CalArts and MTIID.
