Summary
🤩
RockstarJade Byfield is a founder and seasoned Android engineer with 12 years of experience building consumer mobile apps and fintech products from the ground up. Based in New York, she has shipped production Android work for high-profile projects including the Bread bitcoin wallet and consumer brands across Viacom, Socratic, and Kickstarter while consulting at thoughtbot. She combines strong UI-focused implementation skills—navigation, custom views and token/icon work—with a product-minded approach to execution, often serving as sole developer on client ports and new builds. Now leading Zion Trading Algos, she applies her engineering rigor to automated futures strategies, marrying mobile craft with algorithmic trading. Colleagues know her as a pragmatic problem solver who prefers execution over ideas and actively shares learning through open source and community contributions.
