Top SchoolJade Rubick is a seasoned engineering leader and technical advisor with 22 years helping startups scale product delivery, org design, and reliability from Portland, Oregon. They specialize in fixing inflection points where engineering stops delivering—setting up levels, promotion processes, systematic onboarding, and fair comp structures so teams ship incrementally and iterate on real customer feedback. Jade has been a hands-on VP of Engineering at companies like New Relic and Gremlin and now advises dozens of startups and VC firms as an interim VPE/CTO and coach. Beyond process and architecture, they focus on creating high-trust, humane workplaces and pragmatic diversity and equity programs that actually work. Their background includes early HCI research, founding a national nonprofit, and building developer-facing practices around monitoring and CI/CD—skills that uniquely blend product, people, and operational reliability. Colleagues describe Jade as an organizational fixer who gets struggling teams performing at their best within months.
