Senior🎓
Top SchoolJake Oliver is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years’ experience building and operating event-driven, cloud-native systems from Edinburgh. He has progressed through hands-on roles at TrueLayer—shipping payment products in Rust and Postgres, maintaining self-hosted Kubernetes, and designing secure, auditable infrastructure for realtime billing and data access. Comfortable across DevOps and backend engineering, Jake has led zero-downtime DB migrations, maintained messaging platforms like RabbitMQ, and driven microservices architectures in Go and Rust. He blends product-facing engineering with platform reliability, enabling both engineering and non-engineering users to access standardized event data. Unusually for an engineer who now designs infra, he’s been directly involved in building a payments wallet product end-to-end, giving him a rare mix of product and ops instincts.
