Top SchoolJake Thakur is a Graduate Hydrologist at Mott MacDonald with eight years of experience blending quantitative analysis, software tools, and stakeholder engagement to advance climate resilience. Trained in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge, he applies Python, R and Excel to model river flows and water quality, and played a key role on the UK’s first national pilot forecasting reservoir water quality for public supply. Beyond technical modelling he designs clear client reports and runs meetings, and has a strong track record in education and mentorship—launching a climate mentor program and delivering hundreds of hours of one-to-one STEM tuition. His background in web development and club leadership (React/Node.js, Git, budgeting) complements his analytical work, giving him a rare mix of coding, communication and organisational skills focused on regenerative, circular solutions.
