Senior🎓
Top SchoolJake W is a Senior Software Developer based in Perth, Australia, with 12 years of professional experience building high-performance systems across finance, enterprise, and developer-focused products. He excels in multi-language stacks—Rust, Java, Python, TypeScript—and has delivered real-time trading components, data warehouses, desktop apps, and web UIs that span Kubernetes, TimescaleDB, gRPC, and WebAssembly. Jake has a track record of shipping end-to-end solutions: from algorithmic indicators and backtesting frameworks to productivity tools like Document Node and Coupa-integrated automation for procurement workflows. He combines deep systems-level engineering (low-latency trading, multi-process test harnesses) with pragmatic UX and automation work (Chrome extensions, OCR pipelines), often owning both architecture and implementation. Comfortable in startups and large organisations, he repeatedly turns complex domain problems into reliable, production-grade software and tooling.
