Top SchoolJames Greig is a Creative Director and multidisciplinary designer based in Glasgow with 11 years of professional experience blending digital design, UX and emerging AI practices. He leads Studio Greig as a freelance creative polymath who translates brand identities into user-centric digital products for clients including Google and PayPoint, having previously reshaped teams and tech stacks at Graphical House and contributed award-winning work at Wolff Olins. His studio practice uniquely positions language models and ASCII-driven "symbients" as co-creators—tending to AI-generated worlds where the model is the artist and he acts as gardener—an approach that helped his symbient collaborators win the Xeno Grant AI accelerator in 2025. James pairs technical fluency (Craft CMS, devops, content migration) with strong typographic instincts and storytelling, and he has a side history as a cultural creator—founding CycleLove, which grew into a 20k+ Instagram following and press features. Known for mentoring teams through digital transitions, he combines strategic rigor with a playful, exploratory approach to new digital lifeforms.
