Top SchoolJames Hamet is a medtech serial entrepreneur and founder-CEO with 12 years of experience building neurotechnology startups that translate brain signals into practical clinical and consumer products. He leads Vistim Labs to commercialize EEG-based structural brain imaging that approaches PET/MRI quality for in-clinic monitoring of therapies, with an initial focus on Alzheimer’s disease, and also co-runs cross-Atlantic medtech investments at MedRock Ventures. Previously he founded Neurable to enable real-time device control from brain activity and launched an educational venture that exited to Boston Public Schools after serving 100+ classrooms during COVID. Trained in electrical engineering and neurobiology, he combines hardware, signal processing, and clinical translation know-how to reduce barriers between neuroscience research and routine patient care. A not-obvious thread across his work is turning advanced EEG signal processing into revenue-stage products that aim to make brain imaging accessible in every neurology clinic.
