Top SchoolJames Johnson is an executive director and maker who blends a decade of web development and nonprofit leadership with a foundation in theater and scenic design. As CEO of Mindshare Labs and Executive Director of MAKE Santa Fe, he builds web systems used nationwide while directing program development, fundraising, and facility growth for a thriving maker space. He’s designed or built more than 150 theatrical sets and keeps hands-on creative practice through photography and metalwork, a rarer combination that informs his practical, aesthetic approach to product and program design. A self-taught web developer who routinely launches client sites and web applications, he translates artistic problem-solving into scalable online tools that support arts organizations and higher education. Based in Santa Fe, he’s known for turning creative vision into sustainable community-focused operations and for mentoring makers and organizations to better tell their stories online.
