Top SchoolJames Mccorrie is a Principal Software Engineer and founder with two decades of hands-on experience building systems from embedded control rigs to containerised cloud services. He combines deep systems and control-systems expertise with modern languages like Python, Go, and Rust to deliver robust, high-performance solutions and has repeatedly moved teams from monolith prototypes to modular, scalable architectures. As a technical lead and architect he’s driven roadmap decisions, introduced service meshes and reproducible container workflows, and stepped into operations and product ownership when needed. His background includes vehicle powertrain systems, HiL/SiL tooling, and bespoke tooling that accelerated analog engineering workflows from months to days. Based in East Cambridgeshire, he runs Machshev Consulting while shaping strategy at lowRISC and has a practical streak—building custom MiL rigs and in-house developer tools to bridge gaps between research and production.
