Top SchoolJames Mortensen is a pragmatic software leader with 11+ years of experience who blends computer science and business training to improve development quality, go-to-market motion, and revenue generation. As Head of Training Software Skills at FULL Creative, he scaled developer capability across geographies by building Git/GitHub curricula, TDD and QA automation workshops, and an internal test-reporting dashboard that made engineering metrics accessible to C-level execs. He pairs hands-on engineering chops in Java/JavaScript, WebRTC/PBX and test automation with sales-engineer instincts—comfortable both shipping code and helping sales teams articulate ROI to prospects. His background in product, project leadership, and the US Army gives him a disciplined, operational mindset for onboarding, mentoring, and sustaining engineering practices. Notably, he has driven cross-team Scrum adoption and trained hundreds of engineers to reduce integration bottlenecks and improve delivery tempo.
