Top SchoolJames Norris is an experienced ACP-registered child and adolescent psychotherapist with 15 years in clinical and educational roles, currently senior clinician at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust and a tutor on the MA in Psychoanalytic Observation Studies. His work bridges psychoanalytic practice, neurodevelopment and trauma research—he is a doctoral candidate at the University of Essex investigating how early complex trauma affects attention and memory. He teaches observational methods to postgraduate students and supervises clinicians, bringing a strong interest in macro-social psychology, perinatal mental health and gender in early development. Colleagues value his blend of rigorous clinical practice, academic enquiry and applied teaching, and he combines long-term therapeutic work with research that informs service-level understanding of childhood adversity.
